Intro til uddannelsen

Verden forandrer sig - det gør uddannelser også. RUC har lanceret nye kandidatuddannelser - Media and Communication er én af dem.

The programme offers you the theoretical, methodological, and practical competencies needed to assess the digital devices, platforms, and systems that people use to communicate. It teaches you how to anticipate the possibilities and challenges around people’s mediated engagement. And it provides you with the professional awareness needed to evaluate the role of media within communication practices.

By mastering these crucial understandings of the organisational and institutional impacts associated with the digitalisation and datafication of contemporary societies, you will be able to manage and plan for the local conditions and global power dynamics that influence contemporary communication practices.

The master's programme offers you competencies that can be applied across different national and cultural contexts, providing a critical perspective on global developments in media technology, datafication, and platform societies. These competencies prepare you for jobs that demand an ability to design, undertake, and interpret digitalised communication, providing an ethical foundation to address key issues and concerns around diversity, inclusion, and equality.

On the programme’s second semester, you can choose between two specialisations:

  • Corporate Communication
  • Global Communication

The programme enables you to pursue a career path in areas such as communication management, market research, stakeholder analysis, public outreach, consultancy, and data analytics.
