GLASGOW: Climate change, resilience and new pandemics in the Arctic

NORDEMICS partner Nils Christian Stenseth, professor at University of Oslo was one of the speakers at NordForsk event at COP26 in Glasgow about Nordic perspectives and solutions. The event was called 'Climate change, resilience and new pandemics in the Arctic'.

The Arctic is warming at a rate twice the global average. The region is extremely vulnerable to both infectious diseases and natural disasters. Leading Nordic scholars discuss effects of and solutions to climate change on humans, animals and communities in the Arctic and the Nordic countries.

How intertwined is human, animal and ecosystem health, and how are they affected by global warming? How can we build and maintain climate change resilience in the Arctic and the Nordic countries?)
