The outbreak, which began in October 2025, led to 997 infections, mainly among unvaccinated children and adolescents. Despite this, measles activity across the United States remains elevated. In its latest update, Utah reported five additional cases, bringing its 2026 total to 410, while Arizona recorded seven new cases, raising its total to 85. Health officials note that most cases are still linked to ongoing outbreaks and emphasize that low vaccination coverage continues to contribute to transmission.
