Introduction to the programme
You can take International Studies either in combination with another subject, or as your only bachelor subject.
On the bachelor subject International Studies you will learn about global norms, politics and economy and acquire knowledge about the consequences of globalisation and possible responses.
You will adopt an interdisciplinary approach to focus on structural inequalities between rich and poor parts of the world. You will study the European integration process and the limits and possibilities for cooperation among European states. Another theme addresses conflict, security, war, institutions, identities and power in a global setting. You will also study how decision-making processes through the EU have combined into a mutual interaction between national political systems and the European institutions.
All teaching and project writing is conducted in English.
