Master's programmes from 2028
Two types of programmes
From 2028 onwards, you can apply for both 1-year and 2-year master's programmes at Roskilde University.
If you choose to pursue a 1-year master's programme, you will have the opportunity to build on your education later in life through continuing and further education.
NB: Towards 2028 some programmes may undergo adjustments in title and content, but will continue to cover the same academic fields as shown.

2 types of programmes
1-year programme
The programme provides you with a professional and job-oriented profile within your chosen field.
You specialise for one year and then enter the job market.
The one-year master's programme is characterised by the opportunity to build on your education later in life through further and continuing education.
- Full-time programme of 75 ECTS. Eligible for student grants (SU).
- The master's programme builds upon your bachelor's degree from a university or university college.
- The programme is research-based, and you will be taught and guided by university researchers and lecturers.
- Standard study duration: 12 months.
2-year programme
The programme provides you with a professional profile and career opportunities within your chosen field.
You will spend two years specialising and exploring your field before entering the job market.
- Full-time programme of 120 ECTS. Eligible for student grants (SU).
- The master's programme builds upon your bachelor's degree from a university or university college.
- The programme is research-based, and you will be taught and guided by the university's researchers and lecturers.
- Standard study duration: 21 months.
