EU - Nordic Relations - Call for Papers
The Nordic Association for European Studies conference aims to understand, theorise and analyse the special EU-Nordic relations from different disciplines and perspectives, economics, politics, sociology, history, and law, and address some of the following questions:
- How does the diverse EU-status of the Nordic countries affect EU-Nordic relations?
- How has the Nordic welfare state operated within the EU?
- How have EU-Nordic relations been affected by the present poly-crises, and the transfer of new competences from the member states of the EU, to EU institutions?
- How has the war in Ukraine affected EU-Nordic relations?
- How do EU-Nordic relations address conflicts about the Arctic?
- Is there a South-North divide in the EU?
The conference invites scholars working on EU-Nordic relations to submit panels and papers and participate in inter-disciplinary discussions.
The Conference will be hosted at University of South-Eastern Norway, School of Business, Campus Drammen, which can be reached by a direct train from Oslo Gardermoen Airport.
