About the Research Centre
The purpose of the Centre is to strengthen and develop action research oriented towards democratic societal development in a Danish, Nordic and international perspective.
The Centre was established in 2011 building on ongoing critical research traditions at Roskilde University. Today the Centre is organised by the research group at Roskilde University in close collaboration with partners at University College Copenhagen, Aalborg University, and a number of partners at intuitions in Denmark, Scandinavia and Internationally.
-
The vision for the Centre for Action Research and Democratic Societal Change is to strengthen and make visible a critical action research profile. A profile of action research not merely being a method for collaboration between researchers and practitioners, but a way to enable democratic societal change.
Through its activities the Centre connect researchers, practitioners and students across institutions and organisations at local and international levels, and seek to build permanent partnerships with democratic initiatives in the wider society.
