Welcome to 'Center for the Interdisciplinary Study of Pandemic Signatures (PandemiX)'

Today, the PandemiX Center opens as a Center of Excellence financially supported by the Danish National Research Foundation. The center has been granted 47 million DKK in the period from 1st of June 2023 to 31st of May 2029.

The overall research objective of PandemiX is to investigate the signature features of COVID-19 and pandemics of the past, to better understand both and to better prepare for future pandemics.

The research center is led by professor and pandemic scientist, Lone Simonsen. Roskilde University (RUC), Department of Science and Environment (DSE), is the host institution of the PandemiX Center. Furthermore, PandemiX has an office suite at Statens Serum Institute (SSI).
