Seminar: Public Innovation and AI

In June 2022, network member Lars Fuglsang co-organised an online seminar on the theme of AI, digitalization and public innovation, hosted by Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences.

 

About the Seminar

Speakers included: Professor Geoff Mulgan (University College London) with a key note on AI, intelligence and public innovation; Assistant Professor Poja Shams (Karlstad University), with a presentation on public service encounters with AI; Assistant Professor Matt Young (Leiden university), with a presentation on understanding the harm of AI on public service; Dr. Patricia Charlton (Open University) with a presentation focused on AI and public value creation; Research associate Katharina Guirguis (Zurich University of Applied Sciences) with a presentation on the barriers and drivers for adopting AI in public organizations. 

From Roskilde University, Professor Bent Greve gave a presentation on AI as challenge and support for citizens’ welfare, while Professor Sine Nørholm Just discussed controversies around AI as a driver and barrier for technological innovation. 

The seminar was led by chairs Lars Fuglsang and Rolf Rønning (Inland Norway University of Applied Sciences).
