Collaboration with company led to student job, which led to full-time position

“A university project led to a student job. And the student job developed into an opportunity for a full-time position.”

This is how Yanina Aylen Minoli describes the journey from her first meeting with Everllence to completing her master’s degree at Roskilde University in the summer of 2026 and starting a job in the accounting department at Everllence.

The first meeting between Yanina Aylen Minoli, who is from Argentina, and Everllence took place at a so-called matchmaking event, where students, companies and organisations meet and can discuss possible collaborations.

“There were a lot of interesting companies with interesting projects to do. I had my first contact with Anders Kryger from Everllence as he did a pitch at the event,” says Yanina.

Anders Kryger is Principal Strategist at Everllence, which is a large international engine and technology designer that also focuses on decarbonisation and energy efficiency among other things in the maritime sector.

Everllence implemented a so-called DEIB strategy focused on ‘Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging’ to ensure employee well-being, attract and retain top talent, and foster innovation. Yanina and her three group members carried out a project related to this effort.

“In our project, we analysed how to communicate the company’s internal DEIB strategy to both blue-collar and white-collar employees,” says Yanina.

Applied for and got a student job

The project collaboration gave Yanina an understanding of and interest in Everllence, which benefited her when she wanted a student job.

“I was looking for a job when I came across an open position at Everllence. During my project, I learned a lot about the company, which made me interested in working there. The position was a perfect match for me, so I decided to apply,” says Yanina and continues:

“I went through the full interview process and eventually got the job. Working on a project for the company helped me become familiar with the company. I had stronger interest in it, and I think that made a big difference.”

In her student job, Yanina got to work with Everllence’s relocation from the company's facilities in Copenhagen and Holeby on Lolland to a new headquarter in Trekroner near Roskilde in a project with the name 'The Valley'. She assisted the project manager and helped with project management tasks, accounting and administrative tasks.

Celebrated with Argentine and Danish flags

In the summer of 2026, Yanina completed her master’s degree at Roskilde University with a top-grade thesis about how a standardized digital project management system influences organisational change and the coordination of resources in a complex pharmaceutical organisation, and she and her thesis partner celebrated it with Danish and Argentine flags.

However, even before the thesis defence, she had taken the next step in her career, and once again Everllence was involved.

“As I was about to finish my studies, I let my manager know that I would love to stay with the company. The company has given me many opportunities to learn and grow, so I was willing to continue my career here. Fortunately, there was an opening in the accounting team, and I secured the position,” says Yanina.

In May 2026, she therefore started a maternity cover position at the company.

Students provide new insights from a new perspective

Everllence has participated in matchmaking events at Roskilde University several times and has often collaborated with groups of students on projects. Since Everllence first participated in a matchmaking event, the company has hosted 17 projects involving 64 students.

“The projects have been very different: Most have concerned various aspects of our relocation to Roskilde, with the first wave taking place at the end of 2027, but also management, cybersecurity and AI,” says Principal Strategist Anders Kryger, continuing:

“Each project has given us a new insight from a new perspective, because that is what students can do: enter a company and look at an issue from a new perspective. The matchmaking format is very effective at matching companies with students – the students and the company quickly find out whether they have a shared interest.”

Experience with real life through projects

The study method at Roskilde University has prepared Yanina for meeting the labour market and collaborating with companies.

“Roskilde University gave me a lot of real-life experience through all the projects. In my first project, I was very nervous about reaching out to professionals from Danish companies. However, these collaborations with companies help a lot. One day you are a regular student on campus and the next day you are conducting an interview with a CEO of a company. It is incredible,” she explains.

With this study method and the projects, it is about more than just reading and understanding theory and presenting it at an exam.

“It is not just about reading and memorizing information, and the teachers do not give you the answers. They encourage you to think critically, reflect on what you learn, and through the projects, you can get the opportunity to apply theory in real-life situations,” says Yanina.

She experienced it as highly beneficial as an international student to have the opportunity to complete a project with a company, because you may not have many contacts to draw on in a new country.

“Coming from Argentina or another country outside Denmark, it can be challenging to build professional connections. I believe this type of collaboration is especially valuable for students who do not have a large network. In my case, it was very beneficial. Working on real-life projects is a good way to connect with professionals,” she says.

From matchmaking event to job

Yanina is happy with the way things worked out during her time in Everllence.

“It has been a journey full of opportunities. When I first saw the student position, I viewed it as a great opportunity and decided to apply. I was happy when I got the job, and later, when a full-time position became available, I was even happier to continue here,” says Yanina and adds:

“I really enjoyed my time in the student position. Having the opportunity to combine my work with the company and my university project allowed me to gain a deeper understanding of the company. The entire experience was amazing, and I am very grateful for it.”
