Salla Tuomola (Tampere University) visits AlterPublics and AlterUse

On February 2, AlterPublics and AlterUse welcomed Salla Tuomola, postdoctoral researcher affiliated with Tampere University (Faculty of Information Technology and Communication Sciences), for a short research visit at Roskilde University. 

During the visit, Tuomola shared insights from her work on counter/alternative media and the blurred boundaries between journalism and political/activist communication. The conversation also explored conceptual and methodological questions related to epistemic authority, distrust, and audience emotions/affective practices in contemporary digital public spheres—topics that closely align with the Alter-projects' research interests. 

The visit provided a welcome opportunity to exchange perspectives, discuss ongoing work, and identify shared interests for future dialogue and collaboration.
