PhD defence: Frederik Henriksen successfully defended his PhD

Frederik Henriksen defended his PhD dissertation “Burn it Down: Anti-Systemic Narratives and Counterpublics in Digital Alternative Information Environments” on anti-systemic narratives and counterpublic formation across four European countries.

On 6 December 2024, Frederik Henriksen successfully defended his PhD thesis, “Burn it Down: Anti-Systemic Narratives and Counterpublics in Digital Alternative Information Environments”. 

The dissertation investigates how anti-systemic narratives circulate and how counterpublics form within digital alternative information environments across Austria, Denmark, Germany, and Sweden in the period 2019–2022. 

The assessment committee consisted of Christina Neumayer (University of Copenhagen), Annie Waldherr (University of Vienna), and Andreas Birkbak (Roskilde University).
