New Research Project to Map Vulnerabilities in Our Food Systems

Roskilde Universitet, in collaboration with its partners, will examine how regional food systems can enhance resilience and self-sufficiency across the Nordic and Baltic countries. The project has a duration of three years and has received DKK 15 million in funding, including support from the European Union.

A new research project aims to retain and promote the environmentally friendly behaviour of Denmark's citizens with digital learning games. Innovation Fund Denmark has invested DKK 11.3 million in the project.

New research shows potential in forgotten agricultural practices

Professor Henrik Hauggaard-Nielsen from Roskilde University and colleagues from the Swedish Agricultural University have jointly published research results that demonstrate that the agroecological practice of intercropping cereals and legumes can reduce the global need for nitrogen fertilizers by up to 26% and considerably reduce the amount of land used.
