Seminar February 2021 - With Guest Researcher Jim Spohrer
The Interorganizational Network on Artificial Intelligence in Services was pleased to welcome Jim Spohrer for this seminar centred on the theme of Augmented Intelligence.
Jim Spohrer is leader of one of IBM’s development groups and a prominent service researcher. He has written articles on AI in knowledge services, in which he and co-authors introduce the concept Augmented Intelligence. They argue that AI in knowledge services will not lead to automation and user-self service, but that the AI systems will be a help to professionals’ decision making and advice to clients. According to this approach, Artificial and human intelligence will be mixed. These ideas were discussed in relation to the investigations and theoretical discussion about AI and professional services that we carry out in our Network.
