Rosa will before this meeting in this open lecture present his basic concepts in sociological theory about acceleration society, alienation, and resonance in relation to the discussions about existence and ethics in voluntary mentorships with vulnerable young people in the Velux-Hum practice project. Hartmut Rosa, born 1965, is professor of general and theoretical sociology at the Friedrich-Schiller-University in Jena. Rosa works as an extension of the Frankfurt School to develop a modern social theory about alienation and resonance in contemporary society.
