Committing to the promotion of multispecies care and justice must go hand in hand with developing human understandings and practices of democracy. The article draft I wish to present argues that exemplary early childhood pedagogical practices can invite us into considering democracy as an ongoing ethical-methodological process of trying to common more-than-human vulner-ability, thereby specifying how care as underlying ethos rather than a normative ethics (Puig de la Bellacasa, 2017) can both build on and further develop daily multispecies collaborations in and around potentially democratizing institutions.
