10-Year Anniversary of the Department of Science and Environment

Celebrating 10 years of INM
Thursday
18
June
Start:14:00
End:19:00
Place: Building 04-06, room 06.1-023 and room 04-06.1-008, Roskilde University, Universitetsvej 1, 4000 Roskilde

Ten years ago, the formation of INM brought together existing scientific environments and initiated a process of developing new interdisciplinary collaborations across research and education. What began as a new organisational structure has since grown into a vibrant interdisciplinary culture where research, education, and collaboration continue to shape one another every day.

Today, INM is home to four strong and closely connected sections, a growing student environment, and a culture built on curiosity, openness, and collaboration across disciplines. We are proud of the department we have built together — and excited about where it is heading next.

On June 18, we warmly invite colleagues, students, alumni, collaborators, and friends of INM to celebrate the department’s 10-year anniversary with us.
Together, we will look back on the journey that has shaped INM and look ahead to the future of science and education at the department.

Throughout the day, guests can experience an engaging programme featuring speeches, lab tours, interactive activities, a live chemistry show, nitrogen ice cream, discussions on interdisciplinary and project work in science, and much more.

We look forward to welcoming you for a day dedicated to celebrating the past, present, and future of INM.

Step into the laboratories of INM and experience science up close. Put on a lab coat, meet our researchers, and discover how we work with everything from molecules and chemistry to environmental science, experimental physics and medical biology.

No scientific background is needed — everyone is welcome.

The exhibition looks both backwards and forwards: at the people, research environments, and ideas that have shaped INM over the past ten years, and at the future we continue to build together.

Enjoy refreshments and informal conversations with colleagues, students, alumni, and friends of the department.
