Kisumu Policy Dialogue
The Institute for Development Studies (IDS) organized a policy dialogue forum on the 17th of February 2020 at Sovereign hotel in Kisumu.
The purpose of holding the policy dialogue in Kisumu was to share preliminary research findings with key stakeholders with an aim of getting feedback and enriching research outputs. Key government agencies responsible for social protection measures and informal worker organizations had a platform to reflect on pertinent social protection issues relating to informal workers.
The dialogue comprised of keynote speech by the Kisumu Country Government, presentation of findings by researchers, a panel led discussion, plenary responses and inputs as well as group discussions for further clarification of issues.
