Find the Right Master Programme

Many of our master programmes consist of two subjects. Subject 1 defines your studies and thesis.
Subject 2 gives you the interdisciplinary perspective. Some programmes are single subject masters.

Cultural Encounters (int)

Cultural Encounters focuses on the study of cultural identities and symbolic representational and interpretational forms through an international, cross-cultural and global perspective. It is particularly concerned with problems related to processes where cultural identities and representations interact and are exchanged.

    Communication Studies (int)

    The master programme Cultural Encounters + Communication Studies qualifies you to work with and in multilingual and multicultural contexts and in planning, preparing and evaluating strategic communication.
  • Cultural Encounters (int) +

    International Development Studies (int)

    At the master’s programme Cultural Encounters + International Development Studies you will study multilingual and multicultural contexts and processes related to inequality and development in the Global South.

    The master programme Communication Studies + Cultural Encounters provides a broad basis to engage with the planning and development of communication material and communicative processes for a variety of purposes: cross-national and cross-cultural collaborations, newsmaking and the dissemination of culture, as well as for the development of organisations and employees.

    The master’s programme in Global Studies + Cultural Encounters addresses the cultural and political dimensions of global issues in an interdisciplinary manner.
