Mathematical Biosciences is a unique integrated master’s programme for students with a deep interest in mathematics and biology. Here you may specialise in mathematical modeling of health and disease developments, ecology, or mathematical methods in this area. Examples may be cancer treatment, curing diabetes, preventing epidemics, environmental solutions, or developing efficient parameter estimation methods.

You will learn advanced mathematics and biology, to describe biological systems and processes with mathematics, to analyse the models and solve biological relevant challenges by mathematics. 

You will gain competencies to plan and govern mathematical modeling projects of health and disease developments, ecology, or mathematical methods, depending on your own choices. Through practise you will learn to deal with biological data and solve complex biological challenges by the help of mathematical computational methods.

Programming and simulations are integrated tools.
