If you apply in quota 1, you are assessed exclusively on the basis of the grade point average obtained at upper secondary school level.
In order to be considered for admission in quota 1:
- You must fulfil the admission requirements
- The grading system from your entry qualification must be translatable to the Danish grading system. (As a general rule, most EU/EEA upper secondary examinations are translatable to the Danish grading scale. Non-EU/EEA examinations are not translatable to the Danish grading scale)
If you are not certain if the grading system from your upper secondary education is compatible to the Danish grading system, or if your grade point average (GPA) meets the guaranteed admission level, you should apply in quota 2 by uploading the documentation described for this quota.
If you are a non-EU/EEA citizen that needs a residence permit to study in Denmark, you must apply through quota 3.
Guaranteed admission levels
Roskilde University has set levels for guaranteed admission ('garantikvotient'), which means that if you fulfil the admission requirements and has a GPA that meets the set guaranteed admission level, you are guaranteed admission.
In 2017 the guaranteed admission levels according to the Danish 7-point grading scale are:
- International Bachelor in Humanities: 7.5
- International Bachelor in Social Sciences: 8.0
- International Bachelor in Natural Sciences: if you fulfil the admission requirements, you are guaranteed admission regardless of your GPA
