ISE Lecture Series - Spring

The Department of Social Sciences and Business (ISE) invites everyone to attend the second lecture of the Spring 2019 ISE Lecture Series. The series presents significant new results from the researchers in the department. The second seminar is with Michelle Pace and Somdeep Sen who will present their monograph “The Palestinian Authority in the West Bank: The Theatrics of Woeful Statecraft.”

“The Palestinian Authority in the West Bank: The Theatrics of Woeful Statecraft” explores the manner in which the Palestinian Authority’s performative acts affect and shape the lives and subjective identities of its constituents in the occupied West Bank. The authors study what they refer to as the ‘fuzzy state’ from the vantage point of the Palestinian Authority’s institutions, NGOs, international representative offices, and activists. Methodologically, the book adopts an ethnographic approach, by way of interviews and observations in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem.

Seminaret foregår på engelsk.
