Re-enrollment and readmission to a master's programme
Who should apply for re-enrollment?
If you have completed/passed at least the first year of a master's programme you may apply for re-enrollment if the programme is still offered and there are vacant study places. You must obtain credit for the entire 60 ECTS of the first year of the programme in order to be eligible for re-enrollment.
How do I apply for re-enrollment?
You apply for re-enrollment by sending an e-mail to ruc@ruc.dk in which you request re-enrollment.
Please note that you may be subject to special rules, read on below.
Application deadlines for re-enrollment
1 March for study start on 1 September
15 October for study start on 1 February
Who should apply for readmission?
If you wish to resume your studies at a master’s programme where you have not yet completed the entire 60 ECTS of the first year of the programme you must apply for readmission via the DANS application system.
If your application is successful, you will get a credit transfer for any previously completed study activities that are relevant to the master's programme.

Credit transfer from previously completed study activities
If the curriculum for the programme you were previously enrolled in is no longer in force, the university will enroll you in a curriculum that is in force. Please note that some of your previously completed study activities may not qualify for credit transfer if the university enrolls you in a different curriculum than the previous one. Also remember that you must apply for a credit transfer for any study activities at master's level completed since your previous enrollment.
5 month quarantine
If you apply for re-enrollment or readmission, the start of studies can take place no earlier than 5 months after you were disenrolled from the university. I.e. for the 1 September study start, you must have disenrolled no later than 1 April and for the 1 February study start no later than 1 September.
Who is subject to the rules regarding disenrollment?
If you have been disenrolled or are about to be disenrolled due to study activity requirements or used examination attempts, you are subject to special rules. This also applies if you have disenrolled yourself at a time when you did not fulfill the study activity requirements or have used up your examination attempts.
