Re-enrollment and readmission to a bachelor's programme
Who can apply for re-enrollment?
If you have passed at least the first academic year of a bachelor's programme, you can apply for re-enrollment on condition that the programme is still offered and there are vacant study places. You must be able to obtain a credit transfer for the entire first academic year of the programme in order to be eligible for re-enrollment.
You apply for re-enrollment by sending an e-mail to ruc@ruc.dk in which you request re-enrollment. Please note that you may be subject to special rules, read on below.
Application deadlines for re-enrollment
15 March for study start on 1 September.
1 November for study start on 1 February.
Who can apply for readmission?
If you wish to resume your studies at a bachelor's programme of which you have not completed the entire first academic year, you must apply for readmission at www.optagelse.dk – just like the first time you applied for the bachelor programme.
For example, you must apply for readmission, if you did not meet the requirements for the study start examination or the 1st year examination during your previous enrollment. You must also apply for readmission, even if you did not actually start at the bachelor's programme or stopped after a short period of time – as long as you accepted the study place and were enrolled in the bachelor's programme.
Readmission is only possible with study start on 1 September.
Please note that you may be subject to special rules, read on below.
Application deadline for readmission
15 March at 12 noon (CET) at www.optagelse.dk
Rules applying to both re-enrollment and readmission
Admission requirements
If you apply for re-enrollment or readmission, you must fulfil the admission requirements for the programme. The admission requirements may have changed since your last enrollment, which means that you cannot be certain that you still fulfil all of the admission requirements.
Information about the admission requirements.
Credit transfer for previously completed study activities
If the curriculum for the programme you were previously enrolled in is no longer offered, the university decides which curriculum you will be enrolled in. Please note that some of your previously completed study activities may not get credit transferred if you are enrolled under a different curriculum than previously.
Please also remember that you must apply for a credit transfer for any study activities at bachelor's level completed since your previous enrollment.
5 month quarantine
If you apply for re-enrollment or readmission, the start of studies can take place no earlier than 5 months after you were disenrolled from the university. I.e. for the 1 September study start, you must have disenrolled no later than 1 April and for the 1 February study start no later than 1 September.
Are you subject to special rules?
If you have been dis-enrolled or are about to be due to study activity requirements or used examination attempts, you are subject to special rules. This also applies, if you chose to dis-enroll at a time where you did not fulfill the study activity requirements or had used up your examination attempts.
If you have been dis-enrolled by the university or are about to be, you must attach a statement to your application. The statement must describe how your situation has substantially improved thereby enabling you to complete the programme now. If possible, you should add documentation for the circumstances you describe.
